After a long selection process we've appointed James Swain and Andrew McCallum as the project artists for the new airport sculpture. They will be undertaking workshops with youth groups in the autumn before producing their final designs for the new artwork.

East Midlands Airport Sculpture 09 8th May 2009

From July 2009, Mantle Community Arts will be working with East Midlands Airport, to commission a third sculpture for their Airport Perimeter Trail. The Perimeter Trail runs around the outside of the Airport. It has views over open fields and incorporates areas of new planting. It is widely used by local ramblers and is also a focus of education projects with nearby schools.
