Mantle Arts first Lantern Procession was in 2000. Over the years we have worked on similar events, employing artists to work with schools, and youth and community groups.
The events usually had a period of working in schools and other venues including empty shops, to create tissue and willow lanterns, which were illuminated with candles.
Some of the events also incorporated performances, fireworks and fire sculptures.
