Into The Forest Exhibition

Into The Forest Exhibition 3rd November 2009

Mantle Arts' Into The Forest project culminated in an exhibition at Snibston Discovery Park last month. Local adults exhibited poetry, art work and photography, inspired by sites of The National Forest. The project was designed to boost emotional health and well-being through creative expression. It has been supported by the National Forest company and delivered in partnership with West Leicestershire MIND and Leicestershire NHS Partnership Trust.

The Coalville Comes Alive Festival (see under Community Projects for more details) will include a walkabout performance from Street Invaders, a group of local young people aged 13-16. As drifting sleepwalkers, they will invite you into their 'Garden of Dreams' and act out their midnight visions in broad daylight.

The Festival will take place on Saturday 30th May, 10am-3pm, at Belvoir Shopping Centre and is FREE for the public to enjoy. Coalville Comes Alive will feature weird and wonderful appearances from some of the finest street artists on the circuit.
